This section describes the fundamental safe Operating Procedures and methods used for the practical implementation, flight and maintenance of any RPAS program or operation.
As with any newly formed and emerging technology, revisions and improvements happen on a regular basis, RPAS technology is no different. The onus is on the individual to ensure that he or she is up-to-date with the current equipment, the lawful technical standards and regulations specified and that the most recent version of the Operating Procedures manual is being followed.
Operational Procedures are there for reasons of safety. These procedures can be subject to change at any given time. An Operational Procedures manual can be described as a “living document” in that it can be altered to suit changing requirements, technical standards or safety regulations specified within Part 101.
